A little bit about your counselor, Mrs. Wilson...
What would YOU do if you won the lottery? Don't we all like to imagine what our life would be like if we beat the odds and were the lucky winner? In my fantasies of this happening, my home and jewelry change, but my job stays the same. That is how much I love what I do in working with children and how excited I am to be the counselor at Barnwell Elementary.
Prior to joining the Barnwell team, I served as the graduation coach for Haynes Bridge Middle School for five years where I created programs and interventions to support students. Before I worked at HBMS, I taught reading, social studies, math, language arts, and science at Crabapple Middle School. My first job in education, which sparked my passion, was as a preschool teacher when I was living in my hometown, Huntsville, Alabama.

While I grew up in Alabama, my husband and I moved to Atlanta in 1995
and consider this our home even though we still say "Roll Tide". Outside school, I enjoy volunteering in the community with my family and am a
Girl Scout leader in Roswell. I am also the mother of two very active daughters which means I am typically driving carpools, cheering my lacrosse and basketball players, or cheering along with my cheerleader at football games on the weekends.
